Pre-Dance Program
Open to girls and boys ages 4-5. No previous formal dance training required. 1 or 2 classes a week. This program encourages children's awareness of their bodies by developing coordination, flexibility, imagination, and musicality. The classes are conducted in a fun and enjoyable learning environment.

Primary Ballet
Continuation of the creative process in the growing child, these classes prepare the students for beginner ballet training. Simple ballet exercises will introduced to the class.

Ballet 1A
A graded system for students desiring excellent training. This level requires 2-3 classes a week with concentration and certain commitment. Basic ballet exercises will be taught in the structured ways. The students start receiving corrections and inspiration from their teacher.

Pre-professional Mentoring Dance Programphoto of dancers
Audition and strong commitment are required for this program. Students will need to take 10-12 classes a week in ballet technique, pointe, variation, repertoire, modern and master classes, rehearsals and performances. We will guide students toward future professional dance careers or college dance education programs. Students will be a part of SBW Dance Ensemble and participate in the Performance Series.

Master Class Series
SBW will give students the opportunity to be instructed by national professional guest teachers and choreographers in order to improve their strength, speed, lightness, artistry, and awareness of stylistic differences, which all are required by today's professional dance companies.

Performance Series
The Springfield Ballet Workshop Performance Series is open to SBW students and the local community ballet schools in Advanced levels. This gives students an additional opportunity to perform at such events as In-School Performance, Mini-Showcase, Festival, luncheon benefits, Concert, YAGP Competition, and other Special Gala events.
